The best way to use this blow dryer brush is straight out of the shower. Instead of a normal routine of hair drying and then a flat iron to tame my curls, this baby does it all at the same time. I have pretty thick hair, so to get my hair completely dry and straight with it takes me about 15 minutes. Depending on your hair type and amount of volume you want, you might want to still run a flat iron through once or twice to really get your hair straight, but it takes most of the effort out of it either way. And voila! In 15 minutes or less, I’ve got the perfect straight hair festival look, ready to have a flower crown on top. Or, go from there and do braids, take a curling iron to it, etc – it’s ready to go for whatever look you’re trying to achieve! For me, I like to save as much time at festivals since you already don’t get a lot of sleep, so the minutes and energy saved really help me survive the weekend! ![Toboggan on a street? Only in Madeira, Portugal! 🇵🇹
Madeira was the first stop on my 8-day Captivating Canary Islands cruise with @windstarcruises [hosted]. 🛳️
Luckily, we were docked there over night, so I had plenty of time to explore the port city of Funchal, including with a tuk tuk tour and this exhilarating toboggan ride.
This is the only place in the world you can toboggan on land without snow or guiding rails! You ride down in traditional wicker basket sledges with two runners, hitting up to 30 km/hr as you travel down from Monte.
The toboggans date back to the early 19th century where they were used as a means of transport by the local residents who wanted to travel quickly from the village of Monte to the city of Funchal. And nowadays, they’re definitely a blast for thrill seekers!
